Heritage Gould League Bird Protection Pledge
Remember signing the Gould League Pledge to protect native birds? Thousands do, now so can you ...
The Bird Lovers Pledge 1909
-
I hereby promise that I will protect native birds and will not collect their eggs.
-
I also promise that I will endeavour to prevent others from injuring native birds and destroying their eggs
The online pledge provides an opportunity for children and bird lovers of all ages to reaffirm their commitment to the original 1909 Gould League Pledge for the Preservation of Birds - as relevant today as it was nearly one hundred years ago with many native bird and animal species facing the threat of extinction.
All participants receive a personalised, individually numbered full colour online copy of our original 1909 pledge certificate - to print, sign and frame. Plus an opportunity to share your favourite Gould League memories with us.
To inspire students and ignite their passion for birds, schools can also download the primary level National Bird Day activities.
