About Waste Wise Schools
Gould Group designed, managed and delivered the Waste Wise Schools program from an original idea in 1987 through to the program's conclusion in 2007. Waste Wise Schools was funded by Sustainability Victoria (formerly EcoRecycle) and delivered in partnership with numerous organisations.
This outstanding program achieved amazing results in hundreds of schools and was recognised both nationally and internationally as a leading sustainability education and cultural change program.

An Award-Winning Program
Waste Wise Schools was named the National Energy Globe Winner for Australia and placed second in the International Youth Category of the Energy Globe World Award for Sustainability in 2007.

The Waste Wise Schools Program has been recognised widely as Australia's leading environmental education program, winning the 2003 EPA Allen Strom Eureka Prize for Environmental Education and achieving consistently outstanding results in independent evaluations.
Delivery Partners
Waste Wise Schools was managed and delivered by the Gould Group from 1987 until the program's conclusion at the end of 2007. During this time, Gould Group worked, in partnership with CERES, education officers of Regional Waste Management Groups, local Councils, environmental contractors and centres and the Department of Education & Training, Catholic Education Office and Victorian Principals Association.
