About the Programs

Boys looking for minibeasts at Gould League's Moorabbin Education CentreAll programs provide hands-on, authentic learning opportunities. Students participate actively in a range of research and activities, with learnings they can apply at school and at home.

Primary Programs

Most programs are half day unless otherwise noted. Many can be combined to make a full day program on request.

Biodiversity
Hands-on investigation of the wonderful creatures and the roles they play in three separate habitats: freshwater ponds, forest floor and compost bins.

Water Conservation
Available from Term 3, 2010.
Students discover why we need clean water, what happens to our stormwater when it rains, and ways to help keep our water clean.

Marine
Available Terms 1 and 4 only
Students explore the rich habitats of intertidal rockpools, discover fantastic sea creatures and learn how to keep our oceans healthy.

Pre-School Programs

Rapt in Recycling – students discover and practice what goes in the recycling bin, and go on a wonderful recycling adventure with Kid Can.
