Why choose solar power?
By installing a solar PV system at your school, you can make a difference to the environment and save money at the same time. An Origin solar PV system allows you to harness the abundant power of the sun, creating sustainable energy. All our solar PV systems are fully installed by a qualified and approved installer. Installation includes solar panels, inverter, DC switch, circuit breakers, cables and connections.
How it works
The energy from the sun is captured through photovoltaic cells (solar panels) that are typically mounted on the side of your roof that has the most exposure to the sun. With an Origin solar PV system, you school remains connected to the main electricity grid that powers your area. Any electricity you don't use gets fed back into the grid. When you require more electricity than you are producing, your system imports it from the grid automatically.
By using solar energy to power your school, you're reducing your greenhouse gas emissions and your electricity bills!
