Individual Volunteering
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers play an important role in supporting our team in a variety of ways. We welcome the generous contribution of time and skills from our wonderful volunteers. While a regular weekly commitment allows us to plan and involve you in more interesting and ongoing work, even a few hours here and there can make a big difference. Whatever your talent, let us know - we'd love to have you on board.
Can you make costumes?
Interactive dramas are an integral part of Gould League’s multidisciplinary excursion and outreach programs. Donning a costume to enter the world of a slater, worm or ladybird is an exciting way for younger children to engage with environmental sustainability education messages. But we need more! Are you a clever sewer/craftsperson who could help make some whimsical new bird, animal and marine creature costumes? We’d love to chat to you – Email us or call 03 9555 5565 (ask for Nikki or Sally).
Volunteer Gardener
Are you willing to come in for a few hours a fortnight or month to help clear weeds from the pond and garden beds, rake the paths and generally help maintain the garden? Join other volunteers for this rewarding role. Email us or call 03 9555 5565.
Volunteer Historian
Having recently celebrated our centenary, we have received many generous memorabilia contributions which we would love to collate, catalogue and display properly for posterity. You could do this over a few concentrated days or in a few hours here and there over time. Email us or call 03 9555 5565 (ask for Nikki)
Volunteer Website Administrator
Do you have basic skills in Macromedia Dreamweaver or Contribute? We would love to continue extending our Centenary and Members Only websites but we need some help! Perfect work experience for an undergraduate or TAFE student wishing to gain real website experience. Email us or call 03 9555 5565 (ask for Nikki) .
Volunteer Communications Assistant
Help with newsletters, marketing materials, media releases, website content, events and more! Bring your excellent writing and Microsoft Office skills to this perfect work experience opportunity ideal for a student wishing to gain real experience. Email us or call 03 9555 5565 (ask for Nikki) .
Contact us via email to info@gould.org.au if you would be able to help us in these or in any other way. We'd love to hear from you!
