Gould League’s popular half-day marine programs at the Rickett’s Point Marine Sanctuary in Beaumaris are now available all year round.*
Students explore the rich habitats of intertidal rockpools, discover fantastic sea creatures and learn how to keep our oceans healthy. The programs are fun, active and hands-on. They include:
- Beach Secrets for Years Prep to 2:
- Octopus’s Garden for Years 3 to 6:
- Tidal Survival for Years 5 to 6:
All programs are held at Rickett’s Point and include the award-nominated Marine Education Centre. “Students enjoy an outdoor classroom here in a protected sanctuary and one of the best things about Gould League’s programs is that they emphasise learning about the value of protecting our marine environments,” says the centre’s Joe Mumford.
All Gould League Marine programs meet Victorian State Education curriculum requirements.
