COASTAL WEBCARE

Litter
Litter that is carelessly dropped on streets is often washed into the stormwater system and is washed up on beaches and along rivers. Litter can be harmful to people as well as a threat to wildlife, which can be poisoned, choked or strangled.
Dog poo
Each day tonnes of dog droppings end up in the sea because their owners don't clean up after them. In Melbourne dogs deposit enough droppings every day to fill ten Olympic size swimming pools.
