COASTAL WEBCARE
Gazania
Ganazia grows in clumps and smothers native vegetation. It has spread along roadsides and reserves and onto coastal dunes. The plant spreads by seed and also by pieces of root.
Blackberry
Blackberries have very sharp thorns and produce juicy black berries which birds, foxes and other animals help to spread when they eat them. They can cover large areas, preventing light from getting through to the soil and stopping other plants from growing. It also provides a protective home for other pests such as rabbits.
