Australia is the largest island in the world with an ocean area almost twice our landmass. Australia's 200 nautical mile Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) is more than 11 million square kilometres and is one of the largest in the world. Our marine environment is perhaps the most divers and unique on the planet, but it is also incredibly fragile and is in desperate need of some TLC.
