Excursion Program Overview
Forests are a very important part of our world. Discover the forest environment’s tall trees, soft ferns, mountain creeks, and prickly plants! Use all your senses to find signs of the wildlife that live in the forests. Learn what makes a healthy forest habitat, discover the different ways that people use forests and how we can ensure the sustainability of forests for the future.

Themes which you might consider focusing your inquiry on: Food webs, living and non-living components of the forest and how they interact, different types of forests, human impacts on the forest, natural processes in the forest, habitats, history of forest use. Hands on activities in our Discovery Tree Room can also highlight animal adaptations, natural homes and more.

Toolangi excursion bookings are closed for February, and from 16th July to 10th August in 2018 (resuming week 5 of Term 3).
Gould League does not operate in Toolangi on days with a Fire danger rating of Severe, Extreme and Code Red in the North Central Fire District. On very rare occasions, programs may be postponed due to extreme weather predictions involving wind/storms. In both cases, these programs will be rescheduled at the earliest convenience of both parties.
